Hastelloy C-276 alloy is an ultra-low carbon Ni-Cr-Mo alloy, which is formed on the basis of Hastelloy C alloy by reducing the content of carbon (from C≤0.12% to C≤0.02%) and silicon (from Si≤1.0% to Si≤0.08%), and thus has better intergranular corrosion resistance than Hastelloy C alloy. C-276 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to moderate oxidizing acid and strong reducing acid, and can resist mixed acid corrosion such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid. In acidic media, the metal shows strong resistance to local corrosion, such as pitting corrosion, seam corrosion, etc., it is one of the few kinds of wet Cl- corrosion resistance alloys.
