Zr702 is a reactive metal with a strong affinity for oxygen. When zirconium is in the oxidizing medium, the surface will spontaneously form a protective oxide film with good adhesion. This layer of oxide film has a strong self-healing ability in the presence of oxygen, and can protect the zirconium matrix from corrosion damage at 300℃. Therefore, it is a corrosion-resistant metal, stronger than high-grade stainless steel, titanium and its alloys.
