We use a hydraulic press for forging titanium alloy, because the hydraulic press has the characteristics of low deformation speed, and titanium and titanium alloy are more sensitive to deformation speed, deformation resistance increases with the increase of deformation speed, therefore, titanium and titanium alloy with hydraulic forging than with forging hammer better.

In the forging products of titanium alloy, the semi-finished structure of titanium alloy is an important basis for titanium alloy forging, especially the titanium alloy products of aerospace standards, such as AMS 4928, AMS 4911,ASTM B381 and other titanium alloy standards. The low-power tissue inspection of titanium alloy forgings and parts is to evaluate the tissue type and uniformity of the entire part, and the low-power tissue does not allow visible cracks, folds, pores, metal and non-metal impurities, segregation and other defects.

All kinds of titanium alloy are very sensitive to deformation temperature, deformation temperature is one of the main factors to determine the mechanical properties of forging, deformation temperature selection in addition to considering to improve the forging of titanium alloy and reduce deformation resistance, more important is to consider to ensure that the forging meet the design requirements of the comprehensive mechanical properties and organization. - Degree of deformation
The influence of deformation degree on the microstructure and mechanical properties of titanium alloy forging varies with the deformation temperature. The change of deformation degree will affect the grain size, and the increase of deformation degree will refine the intracrystalline structure. - Deformation speed
The forging of titanium alloy can be done in a press with a small deformation speed.
6. Application Of Titanium Alloy Forgings
Titanium alloy forgings are represented by Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al used in aircraft landing gear parts, Ti-6Al-4V,Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo,Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4Cr-4Mo, mainly used in aerospace aeroengine blades, fan blades, shells, disc parts, etc.
