Heat Treatment of Titanium Plates

Titanium alloy sheets can be divided into single sheet production and coil production in the production process. Single sheet production can be used to roll the titanium alloy sheet into a single slab by hot rolling. In order to reduce the gas saturation on the surface of the slab, the hot rolling method should be reduced. When the thickness is rolled to 2-5mm, the rolling temperature should be 550-840 degrees Celsius. A warm rolling process similar to this temperature should be used, and the titanium alloy may not produce work hardening, so there is no need for intermediate annealing. During the warm rolling process, a relatively thin oxide layer will be formed on the surface of the rolled billet, and this oxide layer will be easily removed by pickling. Titanium alloy plates produced in this way have good surface quality and uniform properties. When rolling a single titanium sheet, intermediate annealing or final annealing is required. Intermediate annealing can completely eliminate work hardening of titanium alloys. Final annealing can be complete annealing or incomplete annealing. In order to remove the surface content of the titanium alloy plate, vacuum annealing can be used. There are two ways to produce titanium coil and foil: 1. Vacuum annealing after hot rolling, then cold rolling-cutting-annealing-delivery 2. Warm rolling after hot rolling-intermediate full annealing-cold rolling-annealing-delivery.
