What’s Titanium Timascus?

Titanium damascus(timascus) also known as Mokuti or TiMoku. It’s made from different grades of titanium or titanium alloys.Generally, titanium damascus/timascus/Mokuti is processed by multi-material (pure titanium or titanium alloys), fused by forging(physical fusion), and the block, rods&bars and plate billets are processed by twisting, extruding, straightening, cutting,polishing and other processes. The billets are heated or anodized, and finally show brilliant colors(red,yellow,blue,golden,orange,pink the color affected by temperature) and beautiful patterns. Since only the approximate direction and the thickness of layers of the patterns can be controlled during processing.So each timascus crafts are unique.

Titanium Mascus is similar to Damascus steel. Damascus steel is forged from two or more steels. Titanium Mascus is composed of two or more titanium alloys (generally currently CP and 6AL4V). Timascus has Corrosion-resistant, non-magnetic and light in texture, it has the beautiful pattern and appearance of Damascus steel, and does not have the disadvantages of steel.

How is titanium mascus processed?

It is made by placing different titanium alloys in a metal box, filling it with an inert gas and applying heat and pressure so that the two alloys are forged and laminated together.
