Product Details

Ti-6AL-7Nb is an α-β titanium alloy first synthesized in 1977. It contains 6% aluminum and 7% niobium. It has high strength and similar properties to the cytotoxic vanadium containing alloy Ti-6Al-4V.

Ti-6AL-7Nb is a titanium alloy consisting of a hexagonal A-phase (stabilized by aluminum) and a regular body-centered phase ß(stabilized by niobium). The alloy has superior mechanical properties and higher corrosion resistance and biological tolerance than TI-6AI-4V alloy.

Difference between Ti-6aal-7Nb and Ti-6Al-4V :

1: Ti-6Al-7Nb has higher corrosion resistance and biotolerance in relation to Ti-6AL-4V alloys.

2: The main differences between Ti-6AI-4V and Ti-6Al-7Nb are due to the solid solution strengthening, the refinement strengthening provided by the microstructure of the two phases, and the microstructure difference between the two alloys.
